From the 4th to 11th March I had the opportunity to participate at Erasmus project with my school, where I met six countries: Spain, Estonia, Romania, Turkey, Poland and Greece, in the city of Volos, Greece. It was the first time I was traveling by plane, and I had some fears, which I overcame soon, and also the first time I travelled abroad. I was impressed by the hospitality of Greek people and students, because we soon became friends. I also liked the waterfront and magnificent harbor of the city. When I was at school I did not understand how was important to study English, but when I was in Volos, I realized that this language is fundamental to communicate among friends and for a future job . On the other hand I was disappointed by Athens, because I saw so many poor people in town , begging and sleeping on the streets. The Acropolis instead was impressive! I hope to meet all my new friends again!

I spoke English and I understood how it is important and to me very important because I want to travel in other countries to work. I also realyzed that this language is foundamental to comunicate among people. One of the activity I liked was how to write a C.V. and I think it will be very helpful to me. The Acropolis was Wonderful and Meteora too. I really hope to make a new experience in Europe!

From the 4th to 11th of March with two of our teachers
and two classmates, we were hosted in the city of Volos for the Erasmus +
project “ DROP OUT- Coaching at school”. For me it was the first time abroad
and it was an unforgettable experience with the collaboration of students from Volos who
had made the meeting in Greece a beautiful memory. The first two days we have done planned
activities in their school and as welcoming we have danced tipical greek dances……..what a
fun! then we have tried some tipical
food and we have exchanged some gifts from our country. At the end of the
ceremony they took us in the hall meeting where a teacher told us about the activities planned for us, the European CV and the Job Interview, and the
essay “ I have a dream…..” . We have also participated
at a seminar about labour market
in Europe at University of Thessaly.
At then end of the
activties, we have visited Meteora, in particular the monasteries of the XV
century, they are heritage of UNESCO. On Thursday we have visited a factory of
table olives that produces mainly
for export all over the world, and a factory of soaps where we have seen the process of production.
Returned at school they have given us the certificates of attendance and a journalist has interviewed a student for
every participating country. In the evening, the latest in Volos, we went in a restaurant where we have listened greek
music. The next morning we left Volos to go and visit Athens where the guide
has brought us in the Museum of the Acropolis and then we have visited the real
Acropolis and the Parthenon. My first experience abroad has come to an end…. But
here I’ve realized that the world is
varied and it’s beautiful and I’ll bring in my heart the moments and the
people than I have known for ever.
